At less than 15 minutes by car, Bucks County Playhouse is one of the closest Bucks County theater experiences. This historic theater has hosted names like Liza Minelli, George C. Scott and Grace Kelly since 1939. Flamboyant productions, local premieres, the Bridge Street Concert Series and special events on holidays like St. Patrick’s are all a part of their year-round schedule. Look for upcoming Free Movie Fridays and explore the theater’s history on a guided tour!
Bucks County Performing Arts Center also presents an eclectic mix of performers in Yardley – just half an hour from the inn. Past years have featured everything from jazz and blues bands to Spanish dancing, music for kids and family-friendly variety shows. Although they hold fewer events per year, a show from Bucks County Choral Society is not to be missed. 86 West also presents live music every night at their downtown nightclub in Doylestown.
