Bucks County Activities
Bucks County has a lot of great fishing opportunities to offer! The Delaware River is perfect for catching bass and walleye, with numerous lakes and streams containing a variety of different fish. Fishing piers can be found in state and county parks, while many of the best fishing waters also have boat launch facilities and shore access. Those fishing in Bucks County can expect to find largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, muskellunge, pike, panfish, trout and more.
Although there are many lakes and reservoirs to choose from, Lake Nockamixon is one of the most popular with 1,450 acres filled with fish-attracting cover and habitat structures. It also has picnic areas, hiking trails and a swimming beach. Lake Towhee, Lake Galena and Levittown Lake are other popular options.
There are many fishing outfitters available in the Bucks County area for you to select from. For Bait Shops and Fishing Outfitters in the New Hope area, Mainstream Outfitters and TCO Fly Fishing are great places to start!
Be sure to get your current Pennsylvania fishing license, as it is required to fish in Bucks County. This can be obtained at most bait shops, sporting goods stores or through the Fish and Boat Commission website. Be sure to keep aware of regulations and rules, including limits, by visiting the Fish and Boat Commission website.
