This place is advertised as a bed and breakfast but it should lead with the fact that it’s a ridiculously good restaurant. Unbelievably good dinner spot. Try the chef tasting menu. Every single item that came out was absolutely amazing. I didn’t even think to take pictures until mid way through.

The added touch, the wait staff is extremely knowledgeable about every dish and ingredient that goes into it.

I’m going to butcher exactly what was in each dish, but in simple terms, the beet “salad” the lobster “egg roll” dish, the scallop dish, the duck dish were among the best I’ve ever tried. Sorry for butchering the names and incredible ingredients. But I’ll let the wait staff do their thing and explain them better.

Kaufman’s at the Inn is truly a Michelin caliber restaurant. What Chef Greg Vassos is doing in Doylestown is pretty mind blowing. His Tasting Menu is on par with some of the best in the world. I’ve been to Per Se, Le Bernadine, Jean-Georges in NYC, among other “Star Rated” restaurants. Additionally, Chad and the service team are superb. Highly knowledgeable and genuinely kind. Bravo.

The BEST dining experience we've ever had in Bucks County. The service was top-notch. the meal was perfect. Best scallops we've ever had. Best rolls we've ever had and everything else was beyond excellent. Can NOT say enough about this place. We will be regulars for sure.

I recently took a field trip to The Inn and had the pleasure of meeting Teresa and her team. From the moment I drove onto the property, tucked away from the road, I felt an immediate sense of leaving the ordinary behind and entering a refuge hidden in plain sight.
The grounds have an old-world charm that feels quaint, timeless, and inviting… and the experience truly lives up to that first impression. I immediately sensed a familial energy, protective, embracing, and genuinely comfortable.
It’s a beautifully romantic setting, which explains why it’s already highly booked for wedding ceremonies and celebrations. The Inn offers an intimate French country atmosphere, complemented by a restaurant that is aiming for Michelin-star recognition.
Teresa and her team welcomed me warmly, as if we had already known each other for years. It’s a special place and definitely worth a visit! I was completely immersed in the experience and did not take photos! Just visit and see it for yourself!

My wife and I just returned from a lovely dinner. It was my wife’s 73rd birthday, and since this is the year for taking out mandatory distributions from our IRAs, we chose Barley Sheaf to spend some of this cash.

We found the experience elegant and relaxed. The food was delicious, but what really enhanced it for us was the incredible and attentive service from Joanne.

Although portions are small, the food on offer was, nevertheless, filling. The rolls served were good, but we were surprised they were not served warm and somewhat disappointed that additional rolls were not offered given the small portion sizes of the meal. We also found the menu choices to be extremely limited which forced me to ask for a vegetarian alternative not on the menu.

Overall, though, the evening was delightful and surprisingly reasonable in price making us realize that we didn’t have to wait until turning 73 to come here.

"Amazing" doesn't do this place justice... I was looking for restaurants for brunch and discovered this hidden gem. It sits off of the main road (make sure to drive slower so you don't miss the driveway)and it takes you back in time as soon as you approach. Wow!
Cool setting, a classy, rich vibe throughout. I made a reservation online (highly recommended) and took a friend for her birthday. We were met by a friendly hostess who sat us in a nice, baroque lobby while checking on our table. She quickly came back and lead us through a very cozy, upscale room to our table. By the window, nice view, comfortable seats.
The service was nothing short of great throughout our brunch. We had a very experienced server, who anticipated our needs and was available at a moments notice. The staff worked as a team and we never felt left out or in need of anything.
Now the best part... The food. We had food orgasms every time there was a plate on the table. From the velvety and smooth squash veloute to the crunchy and delicious ricotta toast - the appetizers impressed us tremendously. We impatiently waited for the second course. Duck egg Benedict? Yes please! Oh so good! Hokkaido scallops? Of course! We purposely ordered different items so we can try them all. And I honestly and literally licked my fingers! I have not had a restaurant impress me that much recently... There was not a "meh" dish... Not one. Taste, presentation, size. Well done, Barley sheaf farm!
I was debating whether I should leave a review because I didn't want the world to know about this place (how would I find a table if everyone rushed to eat there?!) But then I want the world to know because I can't keep a place this good to myself!

The restaurant is under new ownership and the food and the menus is phenomenal. I recommend going there for special occasions and you will have quite an experience. The presentation is exquisite and the every dish is quite impressive. My favorite was the scallops which were imported from Japan. They were absolutely delicious.

We had a holiday dinner with 12 people at Barley Sheaf Friday and I can’t speak highly enough about the quality of the food and the service. Greg trained at Le Bernadin and it shows in the quality of every dish and the level of detail. The seafood was special, with the scallops flown in from Japan, for example. Easily the best meal we have had in Bucks County in many, many years. We look forward to returning and enjoying the tasting table with a view of the kitchen.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Inn at Barley Sheaf, and the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and incredibly welcoming.

The food was outstanding—every course was prepared with meticulous care, featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients and beautiful presentation. It was easily one of the best meals we've ever had.

What truly elevated our evening, however, was the impeccable service, specifically from our server, Joanne and the head sever. Sorry I didn’t get his name!

Joanne was an absolute delight! She was knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and had a wonderful, cheerful demeanor. Her professionalism and genuine warmth made us feel incredibly well-cared for and truly special. They even made some accommodations for some our gluten free guests.

Went there for a wedding. I had a great time. Really nice spot.

We got married here on Friday and I cannot recommend this venue more. The staff at barely sheaf are experts, Kelly and Jessica made everything run so smoothly and kept everything clear and organized. The venue itself is beautiful, the food is amazing, the rooms were great, and overall the service was impeccable. The experience from top to bottom was professional and enjoyable. We knew we were in good has with Kelly and Jessica!! If you have the opportunity to get married here… take it!!!

We were lucky enough to have gotten married at The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm this past August and it ended up being a perfect, beautiful experience. We had 110 guests and it feels like every one of them mentioned how much they loved the venue and so many people asked how we found this magical place! My husband and I live in Spain and originally wanted a European destination wedding. However, we had family who couldn’t travel abroad, and once we toured the Barley Sheaf we felt it had some of the European charm/ vibe that we were looking for closer to our families, and just had a special feeling walking through the property. It really checked all of our boxes.

Between the natural beauty and history of the grounds and gardens, the beautiful and unique rooms, the restored barn, and the warmth of the service, we felt like we were able to treat our guests to something truly special. Unlike other venues we toured, this one didn’t feel like a “wedding factory.” We love that they only have one wedding per day and having family and close friends stay with us onsite for the weekend made it feel like a home away from home. The food throughout the weekend was absolutely excellent! We loved the brunch for those staying at the venue and the wedding food was so delicious! They also had great recommendations for wedding vendors, which helped make planning easier, and we absolutely loved everyone we worked with.

We are so looking forward to returning for future weekend getaways. It is a peaceful, magical, stunning place. When we originally booked the venue it was with the old owners and we were a bit nervous about the new ownership. However they have made some wonderful improvements to the venue and were so amazing to work with. I want to highlight working with Kelly, Theresa and Jessica specifically because they were always there to answer any question no matter how big or small. The team at Barley Sheaf are such thoughtful hosts and have created something truly special here. We’re so grateful and can’t wait to come back and visit!

We absolutely loved every minute of planning and having our wedding with the Barley Sheaf. The entire team was thoughtful, creative, accommodating, sweet, and good at their jobs. We worked most with Kelly, and she is a rockstar!!! The venue is beautiful and can be left alone to be gorgeous or I would imagine can accommodate a wide range of themes. The food was amazing!! They even created a new dish not on their menu for us. All of our guests loved the venue and raved about every aspect.

As locals, we have been coming to the restaurant for years — always great food/service/ambience. So we were very pleased that our bride & groom chose this venue for their June 2025 wedding! Mark & Deena have moved on to another chapter of their lived but the new owners haven’t skipped a beat! Waitstaff & bar staff provided top notch service! A very lovely affair in every aspect & we’re still getting compliments from friends & relatives!!!

My husband and I are so happy we had our wedding at the Inn at Barley Sheaf last month. From our first visit to Barley Sheaf, we had a great feeling about it. All of the staff was so incredibly kind and the property is gorgeous. The team was so helpful and communicative while helping us plan our wedding during the year ahead of our big day. Huge shout out to Abbey and Kelly!! They made us feel so confident that our wedding day would go wonderfully. There was rain in the forecast all week before our wedding, and the team ensured they had several back up plans if we could not go with plan A of having our ceremony outside. Thankfully we were able to go with plan A, which was a dream!

Our wedding day was absolutely amazing. My husband and I felt so well taken care of. We knew that the staff and our day of coordinator Kelly had everything under control. All of the staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable. The overall service was outstanding! Melissa is also amazing to work with for all your inn needs. All of the food was so delicious. We were told by several guests that it was the best wedding dinner they’ve ever had.

We had our May 16, 2025 wedding at Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm and it was incredible! They have amazing attention to detail, kind staff, and delicious food. We didn't have to worry about a thing - they even set all of our frames and signage up. Shout out to Kelly for making everything run smoothly! We had our wedding at Barley Sheaf and we would HIGHLY recommend! When we first toured Barley Sheaf (and was our only venue that we toured because our decision was easy), we were overjoyed by the warm welcome we received from the staff. The historic ambiance and beautiful scenery added to the list of reasons we decided to plan our special day here. From the beginning of the planning process up until we checked out the morning after our wedding, it was an overall 10/10 experience. First time visiting since the Chef Greg took over. We were all blow away from my teenage kids to grandmom. Outstanding food cooked to perfection, great service and a lovely setting. It is probably the best meal I have had in the area. We will be back!
